Bodega Classica, Pharos 2021

Bodega Classica is part of Vintae, a group of six wineries located across different regions of Spain. Started in 1999 by Riojan entrepreneur, José Miguel Arambarri Terrero, he first established Bodega Castillo de Maetierra. The only exclusively white wine producer in Rioja, they specialise in old vine Viura which had long been forgotten in the region. And that is exactly what Pharos 2021 is made from; taken from old vines in the region of Sonsierra, it has an attractive nose of lemon curd, quince, apple and white flesh fruit. The palate has a gorgeous buttery-creamy texture from the oak, but retains freshness without any toasted flavours. A clean citrus finish makes this super versatile with food and in general is just a real crowd-pleaser.
